The More plan is Cricket's most inclusive unlimited data cell phone plan. It includes unlimited minutes, messages, and high-speed 4G LTE data. Although this plan is the carrier's most expensive, you can save on your monthly bill by enrolling for AutoPay and Group Save discounts.
Cricket Wireless offers many monthly add-ons that are compatible with the More plan. For small monthly fees, you can purchase things like 4G LTE mobile hotspot, international calling and texting, and Cricket Protect, the carrier's phone insurance plan.
Cricket is currently offering a free trial of Deezer, the carrier's music streaming service, when you sign up for a cell phone plan. You'll have access to a catalog of millions of songs from thousands of different artists. Unlike many free streaming services, Deezer is ad-free, so you're listening experience won't be interrupted!
The More plan includes unlimited minutes, messages, and cellular data. After using 22 GB of data, your speeds may be throttled.
This plan's cellular data is 4G LTE and videos stream in DVD quality. Once you've 22 GB of data, speeds may be slowed down.
The More plan has no contract!
There are no overage fees on the Cricket Wireless More plan.
The More plan includes unlimited texting to more than 35 countries, unlimited calling to and from Canada and Mexico, and data usage in Canada and Mexico. Your monthly usage of data, minutes, and messages cannot exceed 50% in Canada.
Cricket Wireless offers a 10 GB 4G LTE mobile hotspot add-on for the More plan for a small monthly fee.
Cricket Wireless was founded in 1999 by its parent company Leap Wireless. Cricket Wireless is mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that provides service using AT&T’s wireless network. In fact, AT&T purchased Leap Wireless (and Cricket Wireless) in 2014!
Cricket Wireless cell phone plans don’t have yearly contracts, so you’ll never be locked into a plan that you don’t like. There are plenty of different types of plans, including various amounts of 4G LTE data. You can also add on great features like mobile hotspot and Cricket Protect.
Cricket Protect is a great insurance plan if you are going to purchase an iPhone. The big difference between Cricket Protect an AppleCare+ is that Cricket Protect actually covers your iPhone is the event of accidental water damage — AppleCare+ doesn’t do the same!
If you’re not interested in buying a new iPhone from Cricket, that’s okay! They also have the latest Androids including the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. Or, if you already have a phone, you might be able to bring it along with you when you sign up with Cricket Wireless. As long as your phone is GSM unlocked, you can probably keep it when you switch to Cricket — all you’ll need is a new SIM card!
