This device comes with a 2.64” TFT Gorilla Glass 1 with 320 x 432 resolution and 262K colors. It may not be much but for a phone designed for limited functionalities, it is more than enough as it gets the job done. While its counterpart, Kyocera Dura TR, has the smaller 2.4" QVGA TFT (240 x 320 pixels) and no Gorilla Glass.
It is equipped with a humble 5 MP rear camera with flash. For basic documentation, this camera is enough.
It has an onboard storage capacity of 16 GB with support for expandable drive of up to 128 GB via microSD. While the Dura TR has the smaller 8 GB onboard drive with support for up to 32 GB expansion slot via microSD.
This device has Dual front-facing loud speakers with a 100dB+ output located at the bottom. You'll have no problems hearing it even in a noisy environment.
The Sonim XP5 s runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 with 1.4GHz quad-core. Phone navigation and switching between apps is quick. In comparison, the Dura TR has the much faster Qualcomm MSM8952 Snapdragon 617 Octa-core.
Powering this device is a huge 3180 mAh removable battery. With this amount of power, talk time will last up to 25 hours, audio playback for up to 50 hours and 21 days standby time.
This device is rated IP68 making it dustproof and water-resistant for depths of up to 6.5 feet for 30 minutes.
