Your Apple Watch is slowly running out of battery, but it doesn't seem able to charge. When our personal technology stops storing power, it can feel like a matter of minutes before the device becomes completely useless. In this article, I'll show you what to do if your Apple Watch Series 3 won't charge.

How Can I Tell If My Apple Watch Is Charging?

It's not as easy to tell if an Apple Watch is charging as it is on an iPhone. While the Apple Watch does display the same lightning bolt icon to signify that it's connected to a charger, it disappears after a few seconds.

If you're unsure if your Apple Watch is currently charging, swipe up from the bottom of your watch face. You'll be brought to a small menu of options, tap the button with a percentage on it.

The number displayed on this page indicates how much battery your Apple Watch currently has. If it says "charging" underneath this number, your Apple Watch is charging successfully.

If you placed your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger and it doesn't say that it's charging, keep reading for some tips!

  1. Try plugging your charging cable into a few different power sources. If you normally charge with a wall outlet, try plugging into your computer or car.

My watch takes 24-72 hrs to recognize the charger. By the time I get an appt at the store it works fine. I just don’t know what to do. I just have to leave it alone and eventually it will charge, but I’m just tired of waiting.
