If the malfunction your Pixel's experiencing prevents you from being able to access your device's settings directly, erasing your data from another device might resolve the problem you're encountering.

  1. Log into your Google account on another device with WiFi or cellular capabilities.
  2. Open Google Find My Device.
  3. Select your Google Pixel.
  4. Click Erase.
  5. Restore the most recent backup of your Pixel's data you have saved.

Manually Reset Your Google Pixel

Sometimes, the most effect fix for a malfunctioning cell phone is to fully reset it. However, if you're experiencing a problem that prevents you from accessing the settings within your Google Pixel, this can interfere with your ability to complete a reset. Luckily, Google Pixel phones have a preset process that allows you to perform a reset with just its external buttons. No screen required!

  1. Use the power button to turn your Google Pixel off.
  2. Once your Pixel turns off, press and hold the power and volume down buttons at the same time.
  3. Continue holding both buttons until the Android icon appears. If it looks broken, press and hold the power and volume buttons again, then release.
  4. A list of actions should appear on your screen. Using the volume buttons to scroll, select the Recovery Mode. Use the power button to select.
  5. When a new display appears, select Wipe data/Factory Reset.
  6. Select Factory Data Reset.
  7. Select Reboot System Now.
