Best Spotify Cell Phone Plans

Best Spotify Cell Phone Plans 2024: Our Top Picks!

According to a recent Statista study, Spotify is one of the most popular music streaming services available with over 138 million subscribers.  Although getting a paid Spotify subscription might be costly, some wireless carriers offer Spotify Premium as part of an unlimited plan bundle. In this article, we'll show you how to save money on the best Spotify cell phone plans of 2024!

Listen To Your Favorite Albums On Spotify

Spotify is my go-to for music streaming. It has a fantastic selection of music that can't be beat by other streaming services. Plus, you can share your favorite playlists with your friends, and even make your own.

Spotify Exclusives

There are a lot of exclusive podcasts on Spotify that you won't find anywhere else. For example, you can find The Joe Rogan Experience, podcasts with Barack and Michelle Obama, The Joe Budden Podcast, Stay Free: The Story of the Clash, and more.

Spotify's War With Apple Music

Back in 2019, Apple released a new pricing policy for the iPhone App Store that required app purchases to pay Apple 30%. This new policy meant that Spotify's premium tier membership, which costs $10 a month, wouldn't garner Spotify a profit. In order to make money, they would have to raise their prices. Meanwhile, Apple Music remained at a comfortable price point below what Spotify would have to charge to make money.

Spotify accused Apple of monopolistic practices and filed a lawsuit against the company through a complaint to the European Commission. Daniel Ek, Spotify's CEO, said in a press release, “companies like [Spotify] must operate in an ecosystem in which fair competition is not only encouraged, but guaranteed.”

Apple Music is a great choice for listening to your favorite music on iPhones and other devices within Apple's rich ecosystem. However, if you're concerned about the state of competition in the music streaming service market, Spotify might be a better choice for you.

Buying A Bundle

Unlimited data plans might look pretty expensive, but remember that many of them are bundled with additional services like Spotify. Given that they come in a package, this might be enough to justify their price. You might find that you actually save money by paying for these services with this method.

But let's not jump the gun. Check out our article about whether you need an unlimited plan first. It's entirely possible that you'd be better off paying for a prepaid data plan and Spotify separately. You can also check out our video below, if you'd rather watch than read.

US Mobile Unlimited Plans

US Mobile gives you the option to choose a Spotify premium membership as a perk, if you purchase a US Mobile unlimited plan with three or more lines. Other choices that are available to you include Netflix, Hulu, Apple Music, Disney+, and more.

After four lines, you can choose an additional perk from the list, such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live. US Mobile's unlimited plans are definitely the best Spotify cell phone plans out there right now.

Is Spotify Available From Other Carriers?

Unfortunately, Spotify is only available in an unlimited data plan bundle through US Mobile. We'll be sure to update this article if another carrier starts providing Spotify.

In the meantime, here are some other plans that offer music streaming service alternatives as part of a bundle.

Cricket Wireless More: Deezer

If you get Cricket Wireless's More Plan, you'll get access to a free trial of Deezer. Deezer is Cricket Wireless's own music streaming service. Despite its exclusivity, it gives you access to a lot of different music, anytime you'd like.

However, remember that this is a free trial and not a proper subscription. After the trial expires, you'll have to pay for the service. You're probably better off just getting a Spotify subscription at that point, but this is still an option.

Verizon Unlimited Plans: Apple Music

Every one of Verizon's unlimited data plans includes 6 months of Apple Music for free when you sign up. Apple Music is one of Spotify's biggest competitors, with many of the same features and a decent selection of albums that even Spotify doesn't allow access to. Regardless of your price range, if you want unlimited data and access to as much music streaming as possible, Verizon's a great carrier to consider.

The most premium plan Verizon has to offer is their Get More Unlimited Plan. Get More Unlimited comes with an enormous allotment of both 4G LTE and 5G data, as well as 30 GB of high speed mobile hotspot. On top of Apple Music, this plan also comes with subscriptions to Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+. You'll even be able to stream each of these video services in 720p high definition!

The next tier of packages Verizon has to offer includes their Do More Unlimited and Play More Unlimited plans. For a slightly lower price than Get More Unlimited, these plans include the same 50 GB of high speed data every month, as well as Disney+ and Apple Music subscriptions. If you opt for Play More Unlimited, you can even access Hulu and ESPN+ as well. The most significant drawback to each of these plans is that their mobile hotspot allotment is cut to 15 GB.

Verizon's Start Unlimited plan is their most basic unlimited data plan. Significantly more affordable than the alternatives, Verizon really trims the fat when it comes to this plan's features. However, you can still access an unlimited allotment of 4G LTE data, as well as 6 months of Disney+ and Apple Music! If you don't need a lot of bells and whistles with your cellular data, Start Unlimited is a great option to consider!
