Best Google Pixel In 2020

The competition among Android devices has increased with the announcement of two new Google Pixel smartphones with 5G capabilities. Google is constantly improving its flagship Pixel, and it has now become one of the best option for Android users. In this article, I'll tell you all about the best Google Pixel in 2020.

Something Old, Something New

Just because Google's released some new Pixel phones doesn't mean you need to shy away from investing in one of their earlier models. For the past several years, the Google Pixel line has become a powerful and affordable alternative to some of the more expensive flagships like the Samsung Galaxy series.

One of the major benefits to Pixel phones is their easy integration to all of Google's popular storage and document editing platforms. Pixel users can access services like Google Docs, Google Photos, Google Sheets, and Google Slides with ease. Such streamlined connection to these portals significantly expands a Google Pixel's storage capabilities, and eliminates the need to worry about built-in storage limitations that might come with a given model.

Anyone on a budget looking for an easy-to-use interface for staying online could seriously benefit from the Pixel line. Below, we'll show you what some of our favorite choices are!

Best Budget Pixel: Google Pixel 3a

Google released the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL in April 2019 to be budget-friendly smartphones that still pack a punch. We're now over a year past their release date, and the Google Pixel 3a is still a solid options for those on a tight budget.

Despite being one of the most affordable smartphones on the market, the Pixel 3a still has a stunning OLED display with a 100,000:1 contrast ratio and a 12.2 MP camera.

Even before the recent Launch Night In announcement, anyone with a Pixel 3a was ensured a solid Android experience. However, at their latest release event, Google announced that their helpful new features, Extreme Battery Saver and Hold For Me, will soon be available on older Pixel models.

Best Mid-Range Pixel: Google Pixel 4

If you like the sound of an affordable Android device, but want something somewhat larger than the Pixel 3a, you might be interested in the Pixel 4a. Running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processing chip, you can expect high processing speed and quick refresh rates from this powerhouse Pixel.

The Pixel 4a's 5.8 OLED screen allows users to view selfies taken on its 8 MP front camera in stunning detail. More interested in portrait photography? This phone houses the same high-quality, 12.2 MP wide camera as the Pixel 4 XL and Pixel 5.

If you're concerned about battery life, the Pixel 4a can withstand up to 24 hours of talk time when fully charged. On top of that, it supports fast charging. In conjunction with the soon-to-be-released Extreme Battery Saver function, you'll only ever need to keep the Pixel 4a's, or that of any other Pixel phones, battery life in the very back of your mind.

Should I Get The Google Pixel 4a With 5G?

One of the two new Pixel phones Google added to its line at the Launch Night In was the Pixel 4a 5G. Featuring a slightly larger screen than the original Pixel 4a, as well as an improved camera and a bundle of accompanying benefits when you sign up, the Pixel 4a 5G might seem like a pretty enticing potential to your tech echosystem.

However, it's important to consider the fact that what you really pay for when you purchase the Pixel 4a 5G is its compatibility with 5G networks. As cool as this sounds, 5G is not widely accessible from any carrier in the United States, and likely won't be for another few years. Currently, it probably makes the most sense to save the money and opt for the more basic Pixel 4a.

Best High-End Pixel: Google Pixel 5

The Google Pixel 5 is the most top-of-the-line and innovative Pixel phone ever released. If you're looking for the most premium way to integrate Google Assistant, Google Suite, and 5G cellular data speeds into your daily life, look no further.

Google designed this phone for maximum compatibility with many of their other incoming system upgrades. For example, the Pixel 5 supports the updated features to Google Duo and Stadia gaming seamlessly. You can even use it to reverse wireless charge your Google Pixel Buds!

The Pixel 5's rear camera can shoot photos through 12.2 MP wide 16 MP ultra wide lenses. The ultra wide lens is especially convenient, as it perfectly accommodates Google Photo's storage limitation requiring any 16 MP or higher resolution image to begin cutting into a device's on board storage.

While the Pixel 5 is an extremely exciting development for personal tech, you may want to look into the Pixel 4a 5G if a great camera is your priority — it features the exact same camera specs as its more expensive alternative.

Another major benefit to the Google Pixel 5 is that it's water-resistant. While it's not the Google Pixel phone to boast this feature, it does give it a leg up on the previous generation.

The Choice Is Yours!

It seems that whenever Google releases a new phone, something valuable and exciting gets added to the table. With such a huge line of devices available, there's a great option for everyone. When trying to decide the best Google Pixel in 2020, the choice is totally up to you!
